The Annual Presidents Dinner
We received a lot of feedback at last year’s dinner, and have acted upon it to make this year the best night yet! As this is Newcastle Magic Circle’s 90th year of creating magic we are pushing the boat out.
Exact details are still being developed, but as of now these are the parts we can share with you
New Venue
To accommodate the growing demand for the Dinner show night we have moved to a larger venue to ensure that there is more than enough room for everyone. The new venue we have chosen is the Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park. We will be in the newly refurbished banqueting suite.
HEADLINE ENTERTAINMENT
Our headline act for the night is Romany: Diva of Magic.
..a flamboyant hybrid of Bette Midler and Mary Poppins.
Romany has won many awards including Stage Magician of the Year at the Magic Circle, She was the first British person to win The Gold Lion Award in Las Vegas.
She was chosen to entertain at Queen Elizabeth II 80th Birthday, but I’m sure our Dinner will become her highlight of the year! If nothing else, you will remember this as your highlight of the year.
Live Band
The live band for this year is Hip Operation. An upbeat fun band that knows what they are doing. Many of our members have seen them before and they know how to get that dance floor filled!
